Eden SvantunThis is a photo of Eden Svantun,4 years old, the daughter of Glamis Camp Member, Patricia Svantun and granddaughter of long time Glamis Camp Member Jean Redmond.  In the summer of 2009, Eden contracted e-coli and spent several months in hospital. She is still undergoing therapy.  One of the effects of e-coli is impairment of the Kidneys.  Currently, Eden has approximately 70-80 percent Kidney function.

Her family will be participating in the Annual Kidney Foundation Tartan Stroll at Vancouver's Trout Lake on Sunday August 8th, 2010 and Eden has decided she wants "to be the winner" and raise the most money for the walk.

The Kidney Foundation is making Eden their "Honouree" for this year's Tartan Stroll which means they will be using her use her photo and story as part of their promotion.  This should certainly help her on her way to becoming the winner!
