On Sunday, April 5 the front steps of Parliament Hill in Ottawa came alive with the sights and sounds of the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band and friends who came out to celebrate National Tartan Day.
The Sons were pleased to have sunshine and many guests sporting tartan who came to the Hill to enjoy performances by the Ingleneuk Scottish Country Dancers, the MacCulloch and Bytown Schools of Dance and accordionist Jim Waugh. Ottawa Mayor Larry O'Brien read out the Mayoral Proclamation naming April 6 National Tartan Day in Ottawa, and the Sons are so thankful to their fellow performers and many guests who came out to support them and all clans on this special day.
Mark April 11 in your calendar for next year when we'll meet again to celebrate National Tartan Day!
